Caregiver Support and Empowerment
A caregiver is someone who regularly provides support to a child, person with a disability, a frail or ill person. If you are a family caregiver, you play a vital role in helping loved ones stay safe, clean, fed, maintain their independence and quality of life. Becoming a caregiver is rarely planned and can be both rewarding and physically and emotionally taxiing.”
“Linda was recommended to me by a coleague when I was at the end of my rope careing for my aging Mom. Linda’s ability to empathize and empower me to set some boundaries on my time was so very helpful. As a grown adult, I don’t know why I needed someone to give me permission to take care of myself while caregiving for my mom. Linda helped me think through what I needed, how to communicate that to my mom and siblings. I am eternally grateful for the rejuvenation that came from taking breaks and doing activities that I enjoyed again.” Cora

Grief coaching
Grief is the experience of coping with loss. It’s messy, confusing, and overwhelming to children and adults alike. Many people think of grief as that wrenching feeling that happens following the death of a love one. But grief is far more comprehensive than that! A break up, a national disaster, pregnancy loss, miscarriage of justice, being laid off from work, the death of a pet or even a dream… Grief can accompany any event that disrupts or challenges our sense of who we are and what life is about. Despite what movies, music, and social media portray, grief doesn’t always show up with tears and it certainly doesn’t end after one year.
“Linda taught me that Grief is a process and not a destination. I reached out because I was feeling guilty for not grieving like my siblings were. Where were my tears? Linda, who's been grief coach for decades, assured me that it’s perfectly normal for grief responses to vary from person to person, and between family members. What I am going through is my healing journey and comparing myself to my brothers was making me hurt more.” Michael

Commitment to new leisure in retirement may take weeks. Our goal is to provide you with tools and resources and then empower you – through practice, awareness, observation, feedback and accountability – to apply those tools and resources to your life and relationships through “self-coaching.” We find that the most effective solutions require a client commitment to at least 5 visits. Some clients choose to work together for months. Many complete their goals and come back on an as-needed basis.
