Linda Levine is the recipient of a 2002 Helen and Sanford Diller Award for Excellence in Jewish Education. Linda was selected in part because of her "creativity in engaging students in Jewish learning and the impact [her] teaching has had on [her] students, their families, and the community-at-large." In this session, participants will learn how to organize developmentally appropriate, highly participatory activities to entice the senses of two- to eight-year-olds. Come learn finger plays, arts and crafts, drama games, songs and activities to capture the interest of these enthusiastic toddlers and preschoolers.
It is a treat for the senses to create lovely collage art. Explore your spirituality and Jewish identity through this expressive medium. As we tear up magazines and streamers, bend wire, soak postage stamps, and shrink photographs, we are making miracles from the mundane. A true opportunity to turn lemons into lemonade collage creation is a window into your creativity. Decorate cans, boxes, pots, frames and more. Can we heal the hurts that separate us? Explore how we have been hurt and how we hurt in return. What do you do when covert and overt racism rears its ugly head? Simulation games and activities will help us to get into our own skin and others as well. We talk out the pain, and work on solutions. Who can break the cycle of isolation and cruelty? You! The target audience is age 13 through adulthood.

Learn what the roles are of each person on a dig, and follow up with an archeological simulation (indoors at stations). This creative endeavor is a hit with dads, moms, and kids alike. Participants will learn methods to introduce the holistic concept of Shalom to children through Torah study, the use of symbols, tzedakah, holiday celebrations, life cycle, and prayer.
